1. About CampusNet

CampusNet is a learning and school community platform for students of classes 8 to 12 aged 13 and above, teachers and schools in India. It offers courses, tests, live sessions, a community feed, messaging, scholarships, job and internship listings, a book exchange, rewards, and school tools such as attendance, timetables, results, notices and events.

2. Who can use CampusNet

  • Students of classes 8 to 12 who are aged 13 or above. CampusNet is not for children under 13. A student under 18 may use CampusNet only with the knowledge of a parent or guardian. Some features also need the parent or guardian's agreement, as described in our Privacy Policy.
  • Teachers aged 18 or over.
  • Schools, through an authorised representative aged 18 or over who can accept these Terms for the school.

A parent or guardian who agrees to a child's use of CampusNet accepts these Terms on the child's behalf and is responsible for that use as the law provides.

3. Your account

  • Give accurate details, including your date of birth, and keep them up to date.
  • You sign in with a one-time code sent to your mobile number or email, or with a password you set. Keep these private. You are responsible for activity on your account.
  • One person, one account. Do not share, sell or transfer your account.
  • Tell us at once at contact@orangetech.ai if you think your account has been misused.
  • While sign-up is by approval, we may review requests before creating accounts.

4. Rules of conduct

You must not:

  • harass, bully, threaten, impersonate or discriminate against anyone;
  • post or send anything sexual involving a minor, or try to contact a child for any harmful purpose (see our Child Safety Standards);
  • post content that is obscene, violent, hateful, defamatory, misleading or illegal;
  • ask anyone, especially a student, for personal details, money or a meeting outside CampusNet;
  • cheat in tests, share answers to live tests, or misuse school results or attendance;
  • run scams, spam, or fake referrals, or create accounts to earn CampusPoints;
  • copy, scrape or resell CampusNet content or data;
  • break, probe or overload our systems, or get around any safety or consent control.

5. Your content

  • You own what you post. You give us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, show and process it in order to run CampusNet, for as long as it stays on the platform and afterwards only as needed for safety review or the law.
  • Post only what you have the right to share.
  • We may remove content that breaks these Terms, and we keep records for safety review as described in our Privacy Policy.

6. Courses, tests and live sessions

  • Course material is for your personal learning. Do not copy or redistribute it.
  • Test scores on CampusNet are for practice and guidance. They are not official board or school results, unless your school publishes them as its own results through CampusNet.
  • Teachers who host live sessions are responsible for what they teach. Sessions may be reported like any other content.

7. Community, chat and moderation

  • Messaging opens only after a contact request is accepted or through a school, job or book relationship.
  • You can report and block anyone. Reports are reviewed by our moderation team, and safety concerns involving a minor are reviewed first.
  • We may warn, restrict or suspend accounts, remove content, or close conversations to keep users safe.

8. Jobs, scholarships and the book exchange

  • Jobs and internships are posted by schools and organisations. We review listings, but the employer is responsible for the role, its terms and its conduct. Students under 18 need a guardian's agreement to apply.
  • Scholarships are offered under the rules shown on each scholarship. The decision belongs to the scholarship provider, and showing interest does not guarantee an award.
  • Book exchange. CampusNet only lets users find each other. The sale is between the buyer and the seller, who are responsible for the book, the price and the handover. Students under 18 need a guardian's agreement to arrange a sale.

9. CampusPoints and referrals

  • CampusPoints are rewards for activity on CampusNet. They are not money, have no cash value until redeemed under these rules, and cannot be sold or transferred.
  • Points can be used for scholarships, or redeemed for a payment to a verified bank account, at the rate, limits and lock-in periods shown in the app when you redeem.
  • Payouts are made only to a verified bank account of the student or their recorded parent or guardian. The account holder's name must match. Payments to third parties are not allowed.
  • We may ask for PAN or other details where the law requires, and payouts may be subject to tax.
  • Points gained by fraud, fake referrals, duplicate accounts or mistakes may be removed, and payouts may be held while we review.
  • We may change the earning rules, the redemption rate or the programme with notice in the app. Points already approved for payment are paid at the rate locked when you made the request.

10. Schools and teachers

  • A school that uses CampusNet for its students and staff confirms that it may share their records with us and that it will use CampusNet's school tools only for school purposes.
  • A school is responsible for the records it adds, such as rosters, attendance, marks, notices and health details, and for collecting any consent needed for them.
  • Teachers must keep student information confidential and use it only for teaching.

11. Fees

CampusNet is free to use today. We may introduce paid features in future. If we do, we will show the price, what it includes and the payment terms before you pay, and nothing will be charged without your clear agreement. Features that are free when you use them will not start charging you without notice.

12. Our intellectual property

The CampusNet name, logo, app, website, design and our own course content belong to Orangetech Innovations Private Limited or its licensors. You may use them only as part of using CampusNet.

13. Suspension and closing accounts

  • You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Data & account, or by writing to us, as described in our Privacy Policy.
  • We may suspend or close an account that breaks these Terms or the law, or that puts other users at risk. For serious safety breaches, we act without notice.
  • If we close your account for a reason other than a breach, we will pay out any CampusPoints already approved for payment.

14. Disclaimers and liability

  • We work to keep CampusNet accurate, safe and available, but we provide it "as is" and cannot promise it will always be error-free or uninterrupted.
  • We are not responsible for content posted by users, schools or employers, or for dealings between users, though we act on reports.
  • To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or ₹5,000, whichever is lower.
  • Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Indian law.

15. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Please contact us first so we can try to resolve any dispute. If it is not resolved, the courts at Gurugram, Haryana have exclusive jurisdiction.
